bowels. It can be by wrong food, foodpoisining, a virus, parasites,
think of worms or Giardia. Other causes could be, stomage or bowel
problem, ilnesses from the pancreas or liverdesease.
Symptoms
Sypmtoms with diahrea are a whatery or thin faeces, moastly with the
urgency to releve the faeces. Somethimes with diahrea there is bloodloss,
the faeces can be black of colour.
Never wait to long to go to the vet if youré dog has diahrea. Dogs can
be dehydrated very fast after the start of diahrea. Watch out for
dehyrdation when the dog stops eating and drinking. Moastly diahrea is
over within 3 days, is the diahrea after 3 days still there, go to the
vet.
Puppies can be dehyrdrated very vast. You can check if you're dog is
dehyrdated or not. Lift up the skinn of the nek and let it go again. It
has to go down straight away. If the skin is not going right down, than
you have to go immediately to the vet. It is Urgent! This means
you're dog is dehydrated
Important during a long period of
diahrea:
* a dog with diahrea for a long time needs enough sodium and potassium
every day. This is prevention for dehyrdation
* with a long time of period, dogs needs extra proteďn,
- you can give them one boiled egg a day, only the white of the egg
(dogs from 7 kilo)
If you give you're dog extra protein you can hold on the protein in the
bowels of your dog. If you don't do this the dog will be having soon a
short of protein and because of the short on protein, the diahrea will
not stop anymore. The bowels need protein to get the food from you're
bowels into the body.
Diagnose Diahrea is not easy to
diagnose. The vet will ask a lot of questions, and than he will see what
important is to find out what you're dog needs for examinations. Moast
common examen is faeces examen, lookin for parasites or bacteries, also
a bloodexamen is an common exam. |
